Danada House

Why we love it

  • Old-World Charm Meets Contemporary Elegance at Danada House

Danada House is one of the most magnificent historic event venues in the Chicagoland area. Originally constructed as a private home for Dan and Ada Rice in the late 1930s, it is now owned and managed by The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, who maintains its rich history while providing modern features ideal for events of all kinds. The estate features original architectural elements like stunning white brick, French doors and rustic fireplaces. But you’ll also find the newly constructed climate-controlled Atrium space, which offers an ultra-modern feel. Connected to the house via a covered walkway, the Atrium space features floor-to-ceiling windows that allow you to look out across the lush green estate with sunlight streaming in on a beautiful day! On the grounds, you’ll find a 23-stall Kentucky-style stable, which provides a super unique backdrop for photos as well as beautiful gardens that add to the splendor of the venue.

The Danada House is ideal for weddings, rehearsal dinners, baby or bridal showers, corporate events, birthday parties, memorial services and more. Since the space is so versatile with both old-world and contemporary spaces, it can be molded to your event. The house can accommodate up to 250 guests in the Atrium or up to 90 guests on the main level.

The historic home turned Chicago-area event venue is situated among nearly 800 acres of lush farmland and woodlands that are managed by the Forest Preserve of DuPage County. As such, its natural setting is an idyllic representation of Illinois’ native flora and fauna everywhere you look. Located just east of Naperville Road near I-88, Danada House is easily accessible not only to the city of Chicago but also to the Chicagoland suburbs, including the Naperville business corridor.
