COVID Safety

Now more than ever we are taking steps to ensure our guests and our people can gather safely. Read below to learn more about how we’re executing safe events.

Our People

  • Hand Sanitizer

    Hand sanitizer available at all points of entry/exit throughout our facility.

  • Daily Temperature Check

    Employees must pass a temperature and health check prior to each shift.

  • Health & Safety Check

    All employees complete an Attestation for Worksite Entry document.

  • Building Safety

    The entire building is locked and all entrants must be checked in.

  • UV-C Sanitizing

    UV-C sanitizing lights to disinfect cell phones and keys upon arrival.

  • Daily Meals

    Staff is provided with a nutritious daily meal to power them through the day.

  • ServSafe COVID-19 Trained

    Team members have completed the ServSafe COVID-19 sanitation class.

  • Sanitation Certifications

    We have 25 certified sanitarians, Illinois requires 1.

  • HACCP Certifications

    Personnel are Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) certified, including delivery personnel.

  • Top Health Department Scores

    Consistently rank in the top 5% for health department scores.

  • Safety and Sanitation Manager

    Keeps a checklist and tracks all sanitation practices.

  • Sanitizing Entire Building

    The entire building (kitchen, coolers, office, door handles, telephones, etc.) sanitized frequently.

  • Sanitizing Equipment

    Tables, chairs and event equipment cleaned and sanitized after every use.

  • Uniform Sanitation

    Chef apparel stays at our commissary and is washed daily.

  • Clean Vehicles

    All delivery equipment and vehicles are cleaned daily.

  • Safety Reminders

    Signage throughout the building reminding everyone of how to be safe.

     

  • Practice Social Distancing

    Work stations (kitchen and office) spaced 6 or more feet apart.

  • Safe Food Handling

    PPE (personal protective equipment) is used when handling food. Gloves changed frequently.

  • Handwashing

    Staff washes hands frequently, at minimum every 30 minutes.

  • Plexiglass Barriers

    Plexiglas are used in appropriate areas.

  • Staff PPE

    All staff members wear PPE when social distancing is not possible.

  • Food Made to Order

    Our food is freshly made to order by certified sanitarians.

  • Safe Service

    Staff serves all food to guests.

  • Single Serve

    Service items that traditionally communal will be individually packaged.

  • Occupancy Guidelines

    Seating capacity at venues based on state/local guidelines.

  • Seating Arrangements

    Dining tables at venues placed 6+ feet apart, with 10 or fewer guests per table.

How Events are Changing

  • Weddings

    How will my wedding be different now?

    • All guests will enter and exit through one point
    • The Sanitation Manager on site will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing high touch areas frequently
    • Buffets and stations will be served by a Tasty team member
    • All staff and vendors will have their temperature taken before they enter the event
    • Staff will wear PPEs and gloves, cleaning hands and changing gloves frequently
    • Tables will be set 6 feet apart with no more than 10 guests at a table
    • All common table items (i.e. salt and pepper, bread, butter) will be individualized
    • There will be stickers on the floor by the buffets, stations, bar and restrooms indicating proper social distancing space
    • There will be signs throughout the facility informing guests how to keep each other safe
  • Picnics

    What will my picnic look like?

    • Staff will wear PPEs and gloves, cleaning hands and changing gloves frequently
    • The Sanitation Manager on site will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing high touch areas frequently
    • All staff and vendors will have their temperature taken before they enter the event
    • All food will be served off the grill and out of chaffers by a staff member
    • Plexiglas will separate guests from the buffet line
    • All condiments will be individualized
    • Tables will be set 6 feet apart
    • There will be signs throughout the facility informing guests how to keep each other safe

FAQs

Q: Can I still plan an event? What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?
A: There is absolutely no fee for rescheduling. If you’re interested in canceling, please reach out to us at 847.593.2000 and we can work it through with you.

Q: When can I have more than 50 people at my event?
A: The State of Illinois controls the amount of people who can gather, but things are changing daily. Please give us a call as we’d love to speak with you, learn more about your event and talk through how to make it safely happen!

Q: What are the safest food options?
A: Anything you’d like! We’ve adjusted all our food service to ensure safety for guests. All buffets will be served by a Tasty team member, meaning even our cooked-on-site food is placed onto an individual vessel!
